Designer / Owner
Square Footage Inc.
Frankie Castro
After
my successful career designing stores for some of Toronto’s
most prominent retail corporations, I made the decision to focus
my talents and efforts in a new direction - designing custom kitchens.
I launched Square Footage in 2002 as the solution to what I had
realized was a large gap in the custom kitchen design industry in
Toronto.
As a working Mom who loves to cook I feel so strongly that you
just can’t compromise function for design. These days kitchens
are the hub of activity much of the day - they are not just for
cooking! Kitchens now also function as home offices and homework
areas, as well as providing valuable living space for hobbies and
family time. It really amazes me just how much we do in our kitchens!
My unique ability is combining contemporary design and esthetics
with the practical and functional requirements of real life. I really
believe a balance must be struck between the two and that’s
a challenge I love!
Building relationships with my clients, throughout my unique process
of design, is an added perk and my business continues to grow as
a result - Word of mouth has fueled much of my firm’s steady
growth over these past years.
I am proud that my work has been featured on City Line as well
as other design magazines both in Toronto and
Hong Kong.
